DE148 Stuart Epps | Legend Stuart Epps Visits dHarmic Evolution!

Stuart Epps' musical career began in 1967 as a 15-year old office junior at Dick James Music. He quickly moved up the industry ladder to become Chief Engineer at DJM Studios, then later toured the USA with Elton John as personal assistant.

Stuart was involved from the start when Elton's producer, the late Gus Dudgeon, built The Mill Studios on the banks of the Thames, near Maidenhead. It was not long before Dudgeon asked Epps to become Chief Engineer, Studio Manager and Producer.

In recent years he has continued to work with big name artists to great acclaim, as well as helping a host of promising new and up-and-coming artists to sound their best, both on demo recordings and in full studio productions.

Listen to one of Stuart Epps songs: Alibi by Paul Rodgers

With decades of experienced garnered from working with the very best musicians at the top of the industry, coupled with a real love for music, Stuart has an intuitive knack for knowing just what will make each track sound most authentic, a deep understanding of musicians and their needs and a clearheaded, dedicated approach to getting the job done. The Flower Power era – and a 15-year-old music fanatic living right in the midst of it. Just out of school, Stuart Epps landed a job which was to influence the rest of his life. He took his first step into the music business as an errand boy for Dick James, the man who discovered the Beatles. Stuart says about the beginnings of his career: “Even though I was only the errand boy, I had stepped into an exciting world”. With a lot of ambition he worked his way up through being a disc cutter / tape copier and assistant engineer to the position of producer in only two years. During that time he became friends with the still relatively unknown Elton John and his manager Steve Brown and decided to become part of his career. At 18 years of age, he accompanied Elton John as his personal assistant on his US tour and experienced Elton’s sky rocketing career at first hand. Stuart was also A&R Manager for Rocket Records where he also co-managed Kiki Dee. In 1974, producer Gus Dudgeon asked him if he would like to work in his studio – the now legendary Mill Studios – which he was just in the process of building. “Construction took two years and resulted in the most noble, and most modern studio of its time”, says Stuart. There he rediscovered his true passion for recording and producing. “To experience an album or a song taking shape from the demo version to the final master is a great feeling”, Stuart said. He worked on many projects with artists including Elton John and Chris Rea. Later, Jimmy Page bought the studio in the early 80’s and Stuart became the Studio Manager and began to work with Heavy Rock artists like Led Zeppelin.

After gathering enough experience, he took over Alvin Lee’s private studio “Wheeler End” in 1994 and turned it into a residential commercial studio. Among his customers were John Leckie (Beatles, Stone Roses, Muse) and Craig Leon (The Ramones, Blondie). He also worked on his projects with Oasis, Robbie Williams , Mark Owen  and Paul Weller. Up to this day, Stuartis actively involved in the music business and also instructs students at the SAE in Oxford He says: ”I have always felt privileged to have a career that I am passionate about”.

DE145 R.U.A. | R.U.A. Knows That You Are Royal!

R.U.A. (Royal Unknown Artist), singer songwriter, independent artist was born on 13th of July 1988. Originally from Romania, she had her first public appearance at 6 years old at a kid contest where she won the first place so there the magic happened. Though she studied piano and guitar, her big love was vocal singing. She then started performing locally until 2002 when the biggest media trust at the time organised the first reality TV Show similar to X Factor. R.U.A. was 14 at the time. She won the contest forming a pop girl band with which she released 2 albums. After 4 years of career the band split and she had her time off studying. She followed Law University. Meanwhile she discovered her songwriting abilities working with different studios and she worked to gain financial independence as a legal adviser. At a certain point she decided the need to come back fully to her love and main activity which is music so she started working at what later became her first album 'Transcendent Love' that was recently released worldwide.

Listen to R.U.A.'s I Am In Love:

Royal Unknown Artist is a project with a mission. The mission to let every fellow musician know that, regardless of gender, skin color, nationality, appearance, personal or political views, past or present experience or lifestyle, every and single one is royal by simply existing. By simply being a unique and talented spirit under the sky, with a personal touch on the work they are doing. Though unknown, every artist can contribute to the beauty of life and its music. By sharing their dreams, their way. R.U.A. chose music as her means of expression. With a beautiful touch of combining two concepts that seem contradictory: unknown and royal. But that is the real fact of life: each person is royal, an unseen and maybe undiscovered quality that doesn’t need to be proven. Everyone has it. Everyone is the best expression of oneself at the moment. And that’s a blessing. A royal touch to all of the unknowns out there. It’s what R.U.A. discovered on her way and decided to express through her music.

DE141 Kimberly Faith | Little Star? Rock Star!

She was born in New Haven, Connecticut but moved around from coast to coast during her younger years because her mother was a flower child. Kimberly's mother landed in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she met the man who would later adopt her and become her father. Her parents were typical hippies—where children didn’t go to school much, lived in teepees, school buses, lived off the land, etc. Drugs and marijuana were commonplace and she didn’t have much structure. Then, God intervened quite miraculously and both her parents accepted the gift of salvation. Although she didn’t accept God’s gift right away, the course of her life was changed forever. Her parents began sending them to school, her dad got a job, moved into a home with running water and electricity…and began attending church. Life was much more conducive to success…so she graduated from undergraduate school and during her first year of law school, she too finally was born again. The next twenty years she went on to get married, graduate from law school, have three children and settle in Missouri because of her then-husband’s military relocation to Ft. Leonard Wood. She hung out her shingle and began practicing law and have had an extremely busy law practice for over 20 years. She currently operates two law offices.

Listen to Kimberly Faith's Best Friend:

She had no idea that she would ever write and record music or become
an author. It all began about five years ago when she was going through the
deepest valley of her life—her own divorce. Shortly after she began writing the devotionals, God inspired her to write music. Some of the songs, like “Never Alone” and “Walk On” were inspired by the struggles and growing pains of life and how God taught her to make it during those times. Others, like “Abba Father” and “Best Friend” were inspired by the experience of God’s Presence. The song “Pray (And Get Out of the Way)” was inspired by her mother. Although all the music is Christian, the genre varies widely.

The music and the books are exciting to her because God is using
them to help Kimberly make a difference and making other people’s lives better.

At the end of 2014, after a rocky divorce, she packed up her belongings and moved to Denver, Colorado for a new start and jumped right into the Denver music scene with her Acoustic Americana, Southern Roots-Rock vibe.
